ABOUT KATIE
Katie, founder of Active Evolution, graduated from Loyola University
Chicago with a Bachelor's in Marketing and Psychology. Her passion
toward her own health and fitness steered Katie into the training
industry, as she wanted to help others achieve the same balance and
success with their bodies. Katie helps her clients create a strong
mind/body connection to feel healthier and see quicker results. She
has attended live workshops and worked with some of the most reputable
professionals in the industry, including Gray Cook, Gary Gray, and
Juan-Carlos Santana. She continuously educates herself on the most
current research to ensure constant growth in her own training
technique.
One of her most recent certifications includes use of the Power
Plate, state-of-the-art equipment that uses vibration to stimulate
your system. While working out on the Plate, your muscles can contract
between 25 and 50 times per second, which increases the overall
work your body performs in a fraction of the time. The Power Plate
can also be used to improve your blood circulation and assist in
faster recovery.
Katie works with a wide range of clients, not only for weight-loss,
but also customizes sport-specific training programs, as she has an
athletic background in both softball and track and field. She has
prepared many clients with the strength and endurance to run 1/2
marathons, marathons, and triathlons; while arming others with the
power and speed to excel in collegiate athletics. In addition to
training her clients, she is constantly preparing her own body for
fitness competitions under the National Physique Committee. Katie can
offer bodybuilders and figure competitors specific consultation on
posing, diet, and supplementation, along with intense workouts. The
demands on the body are great in order to compete, so training with
someone who knows this regiment first-hand is ideal.
Katie integrates all layers of physical activity into your workouts,
including: strength, endurance, power, flexibility, and mental focus.
In addition to the physical training, Katie offers ongoing nutritional
counseling and supplementation to reach your goals.
