I am a 24 year old female and this is my success story. After graduating from college, I began my career as a preschool teacher and soon realized that I was severely laking energy. My 3-year-olds wanted me to chase them, pick them up and swing them around and I found myself out of breath and running home to take a nap. I loved my job but I knew something had to change. I began training with Katie about a year and a half ago and she has taken me to a new fitness level. When I first started, I could barely hold my own body weight and struggled with 2 pound weights. I can proudly say that is no longer the case, during my sessions I now use the free weights, machines, resistance bands, etc. I have lost about 10 pounds and I ran my first 5K race. My energy level has increased significantly and now my students have fun chasing me. I am happy with my results and credit Katie for my success.
I have been working out with Katie Petersen for 1 1/2 years and the experience has been invaluable. I have learned so much about the mind/body/spirit connection. I personally wanted to learn how to maintain a healthy lifestyle and stay committed to working out regularly when I started.Recently I have upped my goals and wanted to lose one more dress size for my up coming wedding. Katie shifted gears, gave me a meal plan and I have seen tremendous results in a short time.If you do everything she tells you to do, you will achieve your desired result. I look forward to working out instead of dreading it, she really makes it fun. She seems to tailor your session around you and your mood when you walk in the door. I have done everything from intense lifting with cardio (great stress relief!) to yoga on the beach with her (for those lazy days) and felt both the next day.My confidence has skyrocketed as I have gotten stronger, more flexible and capable of doing things I didn’t think I could do. She has made a tremendous difference in my life and I am grateful for the knowledge she has shared with me.
I have worked with Katie for the past year. In that time, my life has changed around; I have lost 75 lbs and have never felt stronger. I worked with other trainers before and none of them came close to the level of expertise and concern Katie has shown towards my well being.I have struggled with my weight and fitness my whole life and have never felt more confident about this being a life long change; I can’t thank Katie enough for bringing out the best in me. I decided to start working out with Katie after hearing from a close friend about the dedicated program she developed for her and after I seriously derailed from all workouts after running the marathon a few years back. In my first session, Katie looked at my diet and current work out routine and wrote out a plan for me that I could follow. What’s fantastic about her is that she doesn’t criticize your current habits, but instead finds inventive ways that you can incorporate new habits to help push out some of the old, less ideal ones.Every session that I’ve had with her has been different, which is fantastic because it breaks up the monotony of working out. Having worked out with several personal trainers before, I can definitely say that her workouts are the hardest I’ve had, which is awesome. She helps push you and help you reach goals you thought you never could.
Katie’s passion for training, knowledge of the industry, sense of humor, and down to earth personality combined make her a fantastic trainer. She’s not only is my trainer but inspires me push myself when I’m working out on my own. She’s constantly reading and staying up to date on the latest training and health information. Katie makes going to the gym fun. I never know what “outside the box” exercises she has planned for me - hooked up to a harness retrieving cones, climbing a rope, or kicking a punching bag. She always has something new and innovative to try. For these reasons, I will be working out with Katie for a long time to come!
Dedicated, professional and thoughtful to make sure that fitness, nutrition and life habits are all included in the training program. I’m an avid yoga and cross fitter. Katie really helped improve my jump and agility for beach volleyball beyond anything I had accomplished in recent years. I would highly recommend Katie for anyone, specially athletes looking to specialize and improve their game.
Katie is amazing! Several years ago I had a few knee surgeries that left me in quite a bit of pain and unable to really get the type of intense workouts I desired and knew I needed. Not only can I say I’m pretty much pain free after working out with Katie but I’ve also leaned out, have amazing stamina and feel the strongest I’ve felt in years. She is also really good at incorporating the connection between the mind, body and spirit. Every workout is fresh, challenging and by the end I feel amazing and accomplished! I highly recommend working with Katie!!
I have had several fitness trainers in my life. When I first met Katie I was not sure if I would be able to work out at her fitness level as she appears intimidating with her phenomenal physic. Katie catered my training to my capacity, she took the time to create a detail diet that I was able to follow . My goal was 30 pounds in a year, after a year I lost 43. She is not just talented, she is a genuine person and a has a great personality. She is a great motivator. She was always punctual and never missed beat. I am looking forward to getting back in to HiFi and being able to train with Katie once again in the near future.
I highly recommend Katie as a personal trainer. I used to consider myself to be pretty fit as I worked out 5 times a week at bootcamps, spinning or running. That being said, I wasn’t comfortable in a weight room and I had no idea how to look “toned.” Katie was instrumental in helping me to drop two dress sizes by gaining muscle and eating clean. I now feel confident lifting weights and that I have a plan when I go to the gym.
